Neil Sauter, age 25 is walking, on stilts, over 800 miles across Michigan to speak at the school for children with neural and motor disabilities. He is doing this walk to let people know about cerebral palsy and to raise money for the United Cerebal Palsy of Michigan.

He began his walk on May 5, 2008 in Lambertville in southern Monroe County. He hopes to finish in Ironwood by early July, which is at the west end of the Upper Peninsula.

Neil has mild cerebral palsey, which effects his legs.
He walks an average of 20 miles a day, starting at 7:30 a.m. until 6 p.m.

Neil was appx. two miles East of Naubinway, heading West on U.S.2, June 10, 2008 at 5:45 p.m., at that time it was raining with some thunder and lighting in Engadine. (Engadine is appx. 7 miles West of Naubinway on Hwy. M-117.) Our prayers are with him on his journey and we hope he raises more then his goal for the United Cerebral Palsy of Michigan.
