FISHING pictures & information!

Not just for sportsmen...
S
ome of this information may come in useful when traveling or camping.
Buy a little rubbermaid tote to keep your items in, so if your car breaks down or you get caught in a storm, having this emergency tote may come in handy!
Pack your matches in a zip lock bag, to keep them dry.
AND if you live where the temperature will get below freezing,
don't pack water, liquids or anything that could freeze and break open, in your tote.

ALWAYS let someone know where you are going before you leave and when you expect to be back! If you get lost, it's best to stay put, but if you have walk, be sure to mark your trail, with pieces of clothing or something, so searchers will find it and know they're on the right track to find you!

Welcome!

Checklist, Tips and Tricks!

You may not need all of these, but it's better to "Be Prepared"!

Take along...

WATER PROOF MATCHES OR LIGHTER
RAGS OR PAPER TOWEL
ROPE
TOILET PAPER
TRAIL MIX
DRINKING WATER
SHARP KNIFE
SMALL SAUCE PAN

The next three items are used in an emergency to keep warm!
Use away from anything flammable or explosive!
You'll need:
LARGE EMPTY COFFEE CAN with cover.
TOILET PAPER
RUBBING ALCOHOL
WATER PROOF MATCHES OR LIGHTER

When needed, take the LARGE EMPTY COFFEE CAN,
put a new roll of TOILET PAPER in the coffee can,
then slowly pour in the RUBBING ALCOHOL, over the toilet paper.
WAIT a few minutes
, to be sure the rubbing alcohol is soaked into the toilet paper,
then carefully light with a match or lighter.
To put out the flame, you may be able to blow it out (keeping your face away from the heat!)
Or use something, that won't burn, to cover the can and smother it out.
Put the cover, of the coffee can, on the unlit container, until ready to use.
BUT REMOVE
cover when in use and do not put it back on until can is cooled!

I tried this at home, to see what it would do,
this really works well.
But you have to use this with caution and common sense,
especially when using around anything flammable or explosive!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If you don't have a cell phone or the reception is bad in the area you're in, bring along a couple...
TWO-WAY RADIOS
(These are nice when hunting with a buddy or leave one in your vehicle,
but remember to tell someone you'll have one radio with you and
you're leaving the other in your vehicle,
so if something happens they have a chance to find you easier.
Many hunter's are within two miles from their vehicle, if you're not out of the woods when you're expected to be, someone may be able to reach you by the
two-way radio you left in your vehicle).
